I've been practicing perspective quite alot during my spare time recently. But as everything else it just didn't 'click' until I started sketching on this one. As everything else when it comes to art, if it doesn't 'click' in your head you won't be able to use it. Now I was decided to use this perspective practice for something, and challenge myself a bit and this was the result. The colouring is simple and plain, but works with the image in my opinion. I used some tricks from tutorials by the talented Using adjustment layers for shadows and lights and then merging it with some of my own techniques it became quite a mess in photoshop but I like the outcome.
I was deeply inspired by the feeling you get by looking at Mirror's Edge screenshots and I wanted to convey the same feeling in this piece. The stinging sun, yet a cold and windy environment.
About the story in the piece; I wanted Raines to be hunted/hunting something and I realized that the only thing that would be able to threaten him would be a werewolf. Then who is the hunted and who is the hunter?
YARR! WANNA GO WEREWOLF-HUNTING WITH A DESERT EAGLE? ..yea why not.
Image is copyright Sofie Wikström, so no stealy. Thanks.
Considering the latest of my texts... If he was prepared, I don't think he'd be alone. For some reason, I see the next frame where the werewolf leaps through the air behind Raines and Raines isn't fast enough to turn. But there's still a bullet running through the little wolfies body
Det gjorde du bra.
